Sprains Home Remedies

Physiotherapy may help for more harsh sprains, or if symptoms are not settling. A physiotherapist may recommend on exercises and provide heat, ultrasound, or other treatments. No medication may be required if the sprain is mild. Painkillers for example paracetamol are helpful to ease pain. It is superlative to take paracetamol frequently, for a few days. At all times warm up before doing vigorous exercise. Utilize good supporting footwear for sport. Do not do infrequent bouts of energetic exercise. Instead, aim for a common and steady build-up to fitness.

Causes and Symptoms of Sprains

Home Remedies for Sprains

Following are some of the effective home remedies for Sprains:

  • Slice a few onions and drape them in a muslin cloth. Then leave it on the sprain-affected area.
  • Relate the paste prepared from lime leaves and butter on the affected area.
  • Horse chestnut is moreover very helpful for such injuries. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties and occurrence of a compound called aescin it becomes useful for all kinds of injuries. You can extend this gel on the affected area every two hours till the pain subsides.
  • Rub almond oil and garlic oil into the affected area.
  • In 1 tsp raw lime powder, append 1 tsp honey and combine them well. Relate the blend on the sprain.
