Epispadias- Symptom, Causes, Treatment of Epispadias
Epispadias is a
infrequent
abnormality, introduce from birth, in which the opening of the urethra (which drains urine from the bladder) is not at the tip of the penis, but
at some place along the
high
surface of its shaft. In
extended inadequacy the urethra may be open all the way to the bladder. Corrective surgery during infancy is
suggested. Tissue from the foreskin is employed to
retrace
the urethra so that its outlet is as
close as
assertable
to the nomal position. More than one operation may be
essential
to
produce
a penis that will be
acceptable
for sexual intercourse.
